In Germany, Visoon Video Impact, the television and motion picture distributors of Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) and Axel Springer, are developing a integrated multi-platform campaign for Spieltag 2016, Nickelodeon Germany’s local version of Nickelodeon’s Worldwide Day of Play, which will include TV and online, out-of-home, on the ground and point of sale activations.
For Spieltag 2016, Nickelodeon Deutschland with go off-air between 1:00pm and 5:00pm on Tuesday 21st June 2016 to encourage children across Germany to go outside and play, whether in a garden, at a school festival or in a playground. The initiative will be sponsored by Chiquita.
Chiquita will also be supporting Nickelodeon events in Belgium, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland, for example, in Amsterdam, Berlin, Stockholm, Rome or Athens.
The main element of Chiquita’s partnership with Nickelodeon will be the “Chiquita & Nickelodeon Playground”, a brand-new game consisting of several stations that will take kids on an adventurous journey, featuring activities such as “Banana Mountain”, “Banana Basketball”, “Bungee Run” and “Disco pineapple”. The game is designed to encourage to keep participants physically and creatively active.
In Germany, there will be “Chiquita & Nickelodeon Playgrounds” in the following cities:

Saturday 25th June – Cologne, Am Schokoladenmuseum / Zollhafen

Additionally, exclusively for Spieltag 2016, Nickelodeon has developed a brand-new photo app called “Just Smile”, in which users can add different filters, emoji’s and funny Chiquita Emoticons to produce funny photos to keep and share!
