The deal will see the reissuing of the retro-styled iconic MTV Vans Era, a range that was first released in 1984.
Fashion brand Vans has detailed its plans to release a line of limited edition MTV branded footwear as part of a new worldwide partnership.
The deal has been struck as just part of the global activity surrounding the 50thanniversary celebrations for Vans.
The deal – announced by Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products – will see the reissuing of the retro-styled iconic MTV Vans Era, a range that was first released in 1984.
“We are thrilled for two iconic brands – MTV and Vans – to go back to the future together, giving fans around the world access to these epic retro Vans that haven’t been available since the 80s,” said Kerry Taylor, CMO Viacom International Media Networks and SVP, youth and music, MTV International.
“I love Vans and I know our audience does too. It’s a brilliant partnership and we are excited to be part of Vans’ 50th Anniversary celebration.”
Issued as part of Vans’ 50th Anniversary Pro Classics Collection, the line will be released at select retailers across the globe from July 16th this year.

To commemorate its half-century anniversary, Vans will be celebrating heritage and progression with monthly releases of its most iconic styles and partnerships form the last 50 years.
