The children’s brand has beaten Lego to the top spot.
Data collected in the new Franchise Report for the first half of the year shows that Paw Patrol is heading up the list of children’s franchises.
It saw 290,000 sales from four titles, beating Lego to the top spot which has achieved 270,000 sales through 33 titles. Peppa Pig, the biggest children’s franchise of 2015, came in third place with 260,000 units sold over 39 different titles.
The Franchise Report collects and analyses data from the Official Charts Company’s weekly retail survey of 15,000 outlets selling DVD, Blu-ray and VHS across the UK.
Star Wars topped the Official Franchise Chart from January to June 2016, with James Bond and Hunger Games coming in second and third.
